Claudio Chiraldez hails Real Madrid as unique in the world for their success in winning numerous trophies.
Celta Vigo coach Claudio Chiraldez has hailed Real Madrid as a unique team in the world and one that can beat opponents even when they are not playing well at times, ahead of Saturday’s clash between the two sides, Mundo Deportivo reported on Friday.
‘They have a lot of individual talent, both physically and technically, with a level of competition and mentality that makes the difference,’ said Kiraldez. ‘That means when they’re good they’ll crush you, and when they’re not they can still hurt you and win the game in one go.’
‘They are a unique team in the world and that’s why they have won so many trophies, because they have the attitude to adapt to the existing context.’
Asked about his plans to face Real Madrid on Saturday, Chiraldez said: ‘We don’t want them to come and compete with us for space, we don’t want them to play in wide spaces. The important thing is that they don’t pass us too much. We have to break away from the initial pressure and control the game.’
